Soundsplash Festival PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information of Soundsplash Festival event attendees, exhibitors, suppliers, customers, advertisers, sponsors, business partners, public and any other third parties.
DEFINITIONS
“Ticket Holders” or “Attendee(s)” refers to any person having purchased or received a Ticket(s) or admittance. Attendees and Ticket Holders include, without limitation, artists, performers, guests, complimentary attendees, contractors on site, volunteers, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors in any capacity.
“Soundsplash Festival” refers to the Event organised by Soundsplash Limited hosted at Wainui Reserve in Raglan on January 20-22, 2023.
“Soundsplash Festival” refers to the Event which this Privacy Policy applies to and may also be referred to as the “Event”, “Event Organisers” and “Festival”.
1. GENERAL
The Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. Any changes will take effect when they are published on the Soundsplash Festival Website.
This Policy is based on the privacy principles outlined in the Privacy Act 2020.
Soundsplash Limited and Soundsplash Festival will collect personal information for the purpose of organising and promoting the Event. Personal information may be collected for Soundsplash Festival to be able to provide goods and services including access to the Event. Personal information may also be collected for promotional, marketing and security purposes. Personal information will also be collected for COVID-19 Contact Tracing purposes at all times.
Personal information refers to any information that identifies Attendees, persons who have pre-registered to receive information about Soundsplash Festival and users of the Soundsplash Festival Website (“Other Persons”). Individuals are entitled to withhold personal information.
Soundsplash Festival collects personal information for the purpose of providing goods and services including access to the Event. If personal information is withheld, the Event Organisers may be unable to grant access to the event. For example, if an individual does not provide valid identification upon entrance into the Event, the Festival Organisers will be unable to allow the person to attend the event.
This Policy operates alongside Soundsplash Festival 2020 Terms and Conditions.
2. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Soundsplash Festival collects the following personal information:
Information relating to Attendee’s identity (full names, date of births and addresses);
Attendees’ contact information (email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses);
Information gathered from Attendee’s when contacting Soundsplash Festival or requesting goods and services from Soundsplash Festival;
Billing and payment information including payment card details;
Bank details, bank statements, payment information and other financial information that would be reasonably requested for customer service and to provision of goods and/or services;
Cookies, IP addresses, and website usage; and
Other forms of personal information that Soundsplash Festival is required to collect pursuant to applicable laws and pursuant to internal policies and procedures.
3. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Soundsplash Limited may use contact details provided by persons who registered their interest to attend the Festival. This registration process provides personal contact details and consent for Soundsplash Festival to provide marketing material.
Consent may be withdrawn. Parties and Attendees are free to unsubscribe from Soundsplash Festival’s marketing communication. For more information contact info@soundsplash.co.nz.
Soundsplash Limited uses Mailchimp as a third-party Marketing tool. The Mailchimp Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy can be found HERE.
Soundsplash Limited, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, will ensure that any personal information it holds will be reasonably protected from loss, misuse, or unauthorised disclosures.
4. THIRD PARTIES
Soundsplash Limited will only collect personal information relating to Soundsplash Festival Attendees and Other Parties in accordance with this Policy, where it is reasonably necessary under the circumstances and/or with authorisation.
Personal information may be collected from:
Publicly available sources;
Third parties who complete videography, photography, and security services;
Third party service providers who collect your personal information through ticket purchase use of the RFID Wristband;
Soundsplash Limited will only share personal information with third parties as described in this Policy and with authorisation or to comply with legal obligations.
Soundsplash Limited may share personal information with the following third parties:
Those who provide the goods and/or services requested or purchased by Attendees;
Government authorities, when required to under the Health Act 1956 or other regulations;
Official ticketing sellers;
Cashless payment provider;
Digital service providers, developers, and data storage providers;
Security service providers; and
Payment service providers.
5. CORRECTING AND ACCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Attendees and Other Persons are entitled to ask for any information held about them by Soundsplash Limited to be corrected if for any reason the information is incorrect.
Under the Policy Act 2020 individuals are entitled to:
Request and receive a copy of any information Soundsplash Limited holds about the individual;
Request the correction of any personal information Soundsplash Limited holds about the individual; and
Withdraw consent previously provided.
